Hello there! Welcome to my website :)
Title: Delusions (Interactive Work - 2025)
Medium: Arduino, Millumin, Procreate
Description: Delusions is built around the idea of internal roleplay, where multiple thoughts compete for attention without clear hierarchy. I drew a garden populated by unique plants, each linked to a hand-drawn character representing a recurring inner struggle. Pressing a physical button makes a character appear; pressing again removes it. As more characters surface, they interrupt one another, overlap, and destabilize the scene. The interaction mirrors how intrusive thoughts arrive, linger, and disappear through repetition rather than resolution. Iteration focused on timing, visual rhythm, and system instability so the environment feels reactive without offering clear control.
Explores how generative AI and a robotic arm can extend the artist’s hand, blending technical precision with human intent.
Title: Obstinate (2025)
Medium: This work is a mixed-media piece, utilizing Nicker poster paint, color pencil on TMK paper, and digital techniques in Photoshop.
Description: This mixed-media work explores the friction of a generational divide. Through a visual dialogue with my grandmother, I examine how our identities clash: she views me as overly modern and headstrong, while I perceive her as obstinate and old-fashioned. The piece captures the push and pull of these contrasting realities, with two individuals standing at the same intersection but seeing completely different landscapes.

My piece The Different World We See won the Highly Commended Award and is currently on national tour across Singapore:
Led a live human–AI painting session with a robot trained in the artist’s style, blending technology and gesture to explore shared authorship later expanded through light and projection.

Ivy Chen is a 17-year-old emerging artist based in Singapore who explores the intersection of art, design, and technology through both digital and physical media. Her work spans from painting and sculpture to robotics and interactive installations, reflecting her curiosity about how creativity connects people across different forms and worlds. Having exhibited internationally and collaborated on art-tech research, Ivy continues to expand her creative practice with a goal of leading her own studio one day–where art, code, and imagination meet to tell human stories in new ways.
